Michael and I are just about finished with dinner at Sci-Fi Diner in Hollywood Studios. Michael tells me, "I saw something on TikTok I really want to go see". I go over to my parents and let them know we would be right back to join them on another ride.
We leave the restuarant and Michael leads me to the front gates. He then finds a security guard and asks where the bus stops are located. I insisted that we stay in the park and see the TikTok spot another time. Michael kept repeating, "do you trust me?".
We finally get on a bus and head to the Polynesian Resort. Once we arrive, Michael has NO CLUE where to go. We asked multiple cast members where to go, until we found a cast member who knew of the plan.
The cast member takes us on a private boat and tells us we are going to watch Magic Kingdom's fireworks. On the tour of Disney's lakes, I noticed that no one in my family was calling or messaging me. Michael reassured me that everything was okay and to again trust him.
The cast member turns off the boat at the best spot of the entire lake, directly in front of Cinderella's castle. When the fireworks began, Michael got up to go get us snacks that were on the boat. When Michael came back, he kept tapping my shoulder asking to look at him. However, I was so mezmerized by the fireworks I did not look towards him at all. He finally has me turn around and he is on one knee.
Now, throughout our ENTIRE relationship, whenever I am sitting down Michael has always gone on one knee to talk to me. This was no different. He is on one knee and starts to express how much he loves me. At that moment, I knew this would be a core memory. He then asks me, "will you marry me?".
I said yes. Yes to my best friend, my other half, and most importantly my future husband.
