In May of 2017 Alison was on a trip with her mom in Rome and she was obsessivley posting pictures on snap chat. While there, she started receiving messages from a guy who she had never met (Luke), about how cool everything looked. They eventually got into conversation about their lives and she thought he seemed pretty awesome so she gave him her phone number. Over the next couple of weeks they could not put their phones down, they were everything each other had been looking for, but they lived 3 hours away! So, she asked him to come visit the first weekend of June and he said yes!!

It was finally time to meet in person!! Alison and Luke were not nervous to meet in person because it felt like they already knew each other so well, and when they were finally together in person, they agreed that it felt like they had known each other for years, it felt natural. That weekend they went to the lake with some friends and had a blast. After the firt weekend they took turns visiting eachother in their respective cities spending as much time together as humanly possible. They fell in love like they do in the movies, fast and hard. During their time together on the weekend of the 4th of July, they had THE talk. Long distance was hard and they'd already decided we wanted to be together, so Luke broght up the conversation of them living together. Alison was floored, excited, scared, and overjoyed all at the same time! Of course, she wanted to move in, it was getting harder and harder every time they had to leave each other. At that point Alison started doing some job hunting to see what her options were, figuring it would take awhile before she would find a good place to start a new career. The universe had other plans landing her several phone interviews in the coming weeks, these lead to two in person interview at the beginning of August. Alison got to meet Luke's parents and little brother that same weekend, it's funny how things work out. She landed a job right away, it was crazy how quick it happened, they were so excited. Aliso moved in at the end of August and they began transforming Luke's house into a home. They went to Washington for Thanksgiving where Alison met his whole family, who she LOVE'S, and they spent Christmas with Alison's family in Austin who love him! During their trip to Austin, Luke asked Alison's dad for her hand in marriage and was given permission without pause. They got engaged after dinner on New Year's Eve.
