March 3rd, 2017...the day my life officially changed! It started out like any other Friday with the exception that I was super excited that my BFF Tamika was coming into town and all the girls were getting together to have dinner that evening, plus Will and I were headed to Houston right after dinner. We hadn't been to Houston in years so I was soooo excited about the road trip. When I got off work I had to grab some things in Northstar Mall anyway and that is where the girls were meeting for dinner, at Kona Grill so I told him to come on and tag along with me to dinner as I didn't want him to have to kill time until I got done and we could both eat dinner and hit the road afterwards. So, we all were there and we ate, laughed and enjoyed dinner. At one point in the evening, Will said, "You have something in your nose!" LOL, I immediately got up and went to the ladie's room to clean up. Once, I got back, everyone was on their phones which was typical. I didn't think anything of it. So, I asked, "What were we talking about while I was gone?" And then Will replied that he had just been talking to the ladies about our relationship, the ups and downs, etc. Then he clapped his hands together and says, "So, with that said".....as he gets down on one knee, "Will you marry me?"....witht he ring in hand as you can see from the pic. I was floored and of course said "Yes!" Then he puts the ring on my finger and we embrace in a loving hug as I have tears in my eyes. The restaurant roars with applause and shouts of "Congratualtions!" Then having my BBF's there with me as well, just made the night so perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better proposal. The funny thing is, he was planning to propose at this upscale restaurant he has made reservations for in Houston the next night, but decided to do it with my girls there instead. Houston too was a blast and when the waitress at the restaurant in Houston found out we got engaged the night before, gave us a free slice of cheesecake. It was an awesome time that I will never forget.
