Josh and Abbey met in high school and immediately decided to not date for the next several years. They even lived two blocks apart for part of that time, just to really prove a point.

Fast forward to August 2023, when Josh—powered by liquid courage and excellent instincts—texted his sister:

“Question: was Abbey Mulligan always this pretty, or is this new?”

Turns out, it wasn’t new. It just took him a while. The rest, as they say, is history.
