Their story started on January 26, 2022, when MaKayla went to her best friend Kayla's apartment to hang out with her for the day. Tim was at the apartment because he was best friends with Kayla and her boyfriend, Jax. Tim stayed with them while he was off work for two weeks. When MaKayla officially met Tim, he asked her, "How old are you?"

That day, they hung out together and acted like they weren't flirting with each other all day. That Saturday, MaKayla went to Kayla's house again, hung out with her, and hung out with Tim. That whole weekend, Tim tried to get MaKayla's phone number, but when it was time for Tim to head back to work for two weeks, she finally gave in and gave her number to him. During those two weeks, they texted each other back and forth. They were both excited to hang out with each other when Tim got back and when he did, they hung out any chance they got. The two weeks went by, and the day before Tim had to head back out to work, they had their first date on February 27, 2022. They had an absolute blast together. As the days passed, they called and texted each other daily. On March 19, 2022, Tim picked MaKayla up and had flowers and pizza waiting for her. When she opened the pizza box, Tim wrote in Sharpie, "Will you be my girlfriend"? Of course, MaKayla said, "Yes." 

All of 2022 and 2023, they enjoyed each other, got an apartment together, and went on a few adventures and vacations together. They have been to Fort Worth, Florida, Crystal Beach, on a cruise to Cozumel, Germany, and many places for date night. On October 27, 2023, Tim made plans to get a photoshoot done together, which they had been wanting to do. They were about to take a picture in front of the lake at Lake Nacogdoches when MaKayla came around the corner and saw a sign that said, "Marry Me." They are planning a wedding which will take place on May 17, 2025, hoping to have the best day ever. They are both excited about what the future holds.
