Curtis and Ann met the modern way: by swiping right on Tinder in 2015.

Their first date was unforgettable, to say the least. It was Columbus day, and they planned to meet up in Schenectady to grab a coffee. Schenectady was just about halfway between SUNY Cobleskill, where Ann attended college, and Delmar, where Curtis lived at the time. Being it was a holiday, most of the small cafes were closed. So they walked around downtown talking and deciding where to go and hang out for a while. During that time, Curtis nearly got mugged, and at this point, Ann thought the date was going to be a wash and that Curtis would say he had to go. However, they got sushi, chatted for a few hours, and got to know each other.

The evening concluded with a hug goodbye, and to Ann's surprise, Curtis was already asking when he could see her again for a second date. And as they say, the rest is history after that!

Over the last seven years, Curtis and Ann attended many concerts, shows, and festivals, traveled to some very fun cities, lived in four homes, and raised three cats and a dog together!
