It was a March 22, 2016 evening when I was getting ready to go out with my girlfriend Michelle and a close guy friend. I was super excited to go out because of 2 reasons. First, I just received the great news that I was accepted into the University of Oregon in the Family and Human Services program. I was super excited to wear a really nice black lace dress and super fit. It was a semi-warm evening. 

I went with my friends to Starlight lounge to meet more friends and to celebrate. We did some bar hopping and ended up at Davis Bar downtown Eugene OR. I remember saying to my girlfriend Michelle that I was just going to have a great time and whatever happens, happens. I said if someone wants to dance I will say yes and if someone asks for my number I will give it to them but then I can block them if I don’t like them. 

It was a busy, hot, evening with lots of people at Davis. We were having a great time, relaxing and having a drink. I remember every time I needed to use the bathroom I kept eyeing this tall, handsome-looking man. I eyed him at least four times. I looked up and he had walked over to me and asked me to dance I said “absolutely!” He was a gentleman! The only thing I can remember was dancing with Mica and my dress kept creeping up on me. I would keep pulling it down and Mica would help pull it down. My mind was “wow he is a gentleman!” We danced until it was time to leave. 

I was outside getting ready to leave with my girlfriend and guy friend. He asked if he can see me again? I said “Yes”! I gave him my number and went on with the night. I got to my girlfriend's house and then the next day I woke up to Mica texting making sure I got home okay. Then that day we texted each other all day and planned our first date for later that week.  Mica still remembers her "Goo Goo Eyes" for him
