| (His Version)
After purchasing the ring, I decided the best way to propose was to include my fiancé's son, Isaiah. I came home on September 28, 2016, and my fiancé was in her bedroom relaxing. Her son comes into her room and asks her for her phone because his was dead (supposedly). Normally she get’s upset when his phone is dead, but I assured Isaiah that if he could just take the heat from his mom for about 10 minutes everything would be ok. He agreed and proceeded with caution.
Isaiah takes her phone into his bedroom and sends me a text that he has the phone in his hand; at which time, I send him a picture of the engagement ring. Meanwhile she's got an attitude and is wondering when she's getting her phone back so she can continue playing her favorite game.
I sent him a text with the picture of her engagement ring so he can change the background on her phone. Once the change has been made, he walks into her room, shows her the phone with the new screensaver of the ring and says, I hear him say to her, “This is what I really wanted your phone for!" With much hesitation, Isaiah was able to finally convince her to come downstairs (mind you, she's chanting "no way!" repeatedly all the way down the stairs) and I’m there on one knee with the ring and a huge smile on my face. Between laughter, I asked her son for his permission and for Gabre's hand in marriage.... (she said yes, otherwise there'd be no wedding website) lol!
