Like many couples today, we met online (LDSPlanet) back in April. Ryan claims to have avoided me for a while before deciding to reach out. It's a good thing he didn't wait much longer because I had told myself that if nothing happened in the next month that I would take a break from the websites. When he did respond it was with a funny put down on West Virginia, to which I responded with a joke about Virginia. He made me laugh and I was hooked. We talked online and texted for a month before meeting halfway at Lurray Caverns. We had to scramble for a way to communicate when I discovered that I did not have cell service- but we made do with hotel wifi and the Words with Friends chat option (we hadn't exchanged emails yet). Our first date was dinner at a local restaurant and a walk along the river that runs through town. Satisfied that we did indeed want to spend more time together, we met up the next day at the caverns (an hour late due to the communication issues). Not ready to leave, we decided to go on our 3rd date, which was a drive along Skyline Drive with lunch at one of the restaurants along the way. |
